Sheep are a common sight in Victoria’s western district. CloudChaser spotted this impressive fella on the side of the highway at Orford, between Macarthur and Port Fairy. Mr Black Sheep was tied to a long rope secured to a fence so he could happily munch and ‘mow’ the grass outside the property.
Freshwater marshes are a haven for wildlife. Bryan’s Swamp and Mahoney Swamp in the Southern Grampians are a fine example. The twilight picture is of a smaller swamp that looked just right as CloudChaser drove past one gorgeous evening.
Spring shouts of yellow and dominates the rural scene. In and around the Grampians, giant fields of canola create a bright yellow carpet as far as the eye can see across the vast landscape.
The road less travelled is always a buzz for CloudChaser.
